Description
Wicked As They Come – 1956
Arlene Dahl gives the performance of her chequered career, as a woman who will do pretty much anything to rise socially and economically by using her beauty. Philip Carey is often effective as the steady, sardonic love interest who sticks with Arlene no matter how low she gets. Recommended for Dahl’s believable work and lovely presence. Nicely directed by co-screenplay author Ken Hughes (The Atomic Man; The Long Haul; The Trials of Ocar Wilde; 1964’s Of Human Bondage)
